Description

Effective and ethical supervision of mental health professionals requires understanding of and skills in handling the supervisory relationship. In addition to monitoring client welfare and assisting with supervisee growth and development as a clinician, clinical supervisors need to be aware of boundary issues inherent in the relationship. These boundary issues often create legal and ethical dilemmas for the supervisor.

In this seminar, Dr. Fall will help participants identify theoretical directions, relationship and common boundary issues they may encounter as clinical supervisors, and the practical, ethical, and legal dilemmas that result. More important, she will help participants learn new ways of thinking and practicing that will increase their effectiveness as clinical supervisors.
