GRIEVANCE POLICY AND PROCEDURES

Mon, 11/30/2020 - 10:40 - Ken Ralph

What are the J&K Seminars Grievance Policies and Procedures?

J&K Seminars is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with ACE ASWB for Social Workers and all other credentialing bodies. J&K Seminars will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of Dr. Kenneth M. Ralph.

While J&K Seminars goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to our attention which require intervention and/or action.  This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances.

When a participant has a grievance and requests action on this grievance, the following actions will be taken.

1. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format. Dr. Ralph will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.

2. If the grievances concerning a seminar or home study program, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the seminar was offered will be forwarded to Dr. Ralph for review.  If the participant requests action, Dr. Ralph may:

a. provide a credit for an upcoming seminar or home study program within a 10 day period.
b. provide a partial or full refund of the seminar or home study fee within a 10 day period.

3. If the grievance concerns J&K Seminars CE program, in a specific regard, Dr. Ralph or Janet Keyser Stanley will attempt to arbitrate a mutually acceptable resolution.

4.Customers not pleased with the grievance resolution provided by J&K Seminars may appeal to the approving entity or their jurisdictional board.

5. The grievance process will be completed in a timely manner, not to exceed 10 days.
