Seminar Description

You can earn a Portland Institute for Loss and Transition (PI) Basic Certification in Grief Therapy by completing 3 specific J&K Seminars courses (noted below), and this Practicum Session.

This certification will document your expertise in serving clients contending with difficult loss, such as the death of a child or partner, or the tragic loss of a loved one to unanticipated or lingering illness, fatal accident, overdose, suicide, homicide or Covid-19.
Dr. Neimeyer, with the assistance of his PI staff, will conduct this Practicum Zoom Meetings with breakout rooms.  We will limit registrations to ensure close faculty/participant mentoring.  In this Practicum, Dr. Neimeyer will have you practice core techniques featured in the 3 J&K courses.  You must have completed all three of the following courses below before registering for this Practicum session. While we will schedule other Practicum Sessions, you only need to complete one Practicum session to qualify for the Grief Basic Certification.

Attendees will receive a J&K certificate for 3-hours professional CE credit good toward relicensing in addition to the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition (PI) Basic Certification in Grief Therapy.
