Bio
Allan Zuckoff, Ph.D., is Vice President for Clinical Program Development at Vital Decisions, LLC. Allan is a clinical psychologist who has spent the past 25 years specializing in MI training, research, and practice. A member of the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) since 1998, he has served for 8 years as an officer and member of the MINT Board of Directors and has been the editor of the MINT Bulletin and Motivational Interviewing: Training, Research, Implementation, Practice. A clinician, teacher, and researcher in the departments of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Pittsburgh from 1992-2015, he oversaw intervention development, training, and fidelity monitoring for a dozen clinical trials of MI in substance use, mental health, and health behavior settings. Allan has led MI workshops on three continents with professionals from a wide variety of disciplines and practice areas. He has published 2 books and more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and chapters and most recently is the author (with Bonnie Gorscak, Ph.D.) of Finding Your Way to Change: How the Power of Motivational Interviewing Can Reveal What You Want and Help You Get There, published by Guilford Press and available in translation in Spanish, Dutch, and Italian.
